I have asked this once but no gotten an answer so far:

Very often I choose the wrong button when using the T9 search with my remote in a database view. Is there a way to delete the latest letter (something like the "back" button in an editor?).

    Thx for your answer

    Hi,

I think you mean a Backspace Button and not Return. ;)

But anyway, thats also a key I am missing very often. Not possible currently. Would be nice, if this could be set to "0" Button or so.

    Flip,

you're right - I have changed the subject accordingly.

I agree - it would make sense to assign the back-button behavior to the "0" button.

It was already assigned to "*" (asterisk) and "0" (zero), but due to a bug that did not take effect. Will be fixed in the next SVN build. Please check & report if it works everywhere as expected.

mPod, thanks a lot for looking into this.

A quick test showed that the function is working properly in the video and picture modules. However, it does not work in the music module because the Music Windows don't have the "Delete Item" action assigned to their 0 keys (I use an X10 remote).

Question: Do I need to assign the action to each of the Music view windows (e.g. Music Genre, Muisc Artist) or is there a more elegant way of doing this?

Last but not least my feedback to the function itself: IMO MP's behavior when pressing 0 in a DB view could be improved by deleting only the latest character instead of the whole string.

Thanks a lot for a wonderful software. I am very impressed by the amount of work you programmers invest in this project.
