Welp, title pretty much says it all...

When I switch tabs and enable motor control its almost like I didn't. I can change transponders but most the time I don't even get a flicker out of the signal bars, even when I just got through checking the signal in the previous tab. None of the buttons (east/west/goto) seem to do anything, current position remains unknown, the store button saves to the database but not the motor. *sigh*

This card is on the supported list but at the moment MP and it seems to be speaking their own separate languages. In fact was beginning to wonder if there wasn't something up with the motor. But when I'm using CrazyScan the goto commands work perfectly.

Anyway, I hope someone who has had MP for more then 48 hours can tell how I've been a colossal idiot and missed something completely obvious that would have fixed everything...

Well, I think I may have discovered some of my own idiocy myself...

Firstly, I did some tinkering and found out that it wasn't just 1.2 but all DiSEqC commands that wasn't being sent, then when installing 1.3.0 BETA I was reminded that my OS (Windows 8) wasn't supported by MediaPortal [Facepalm]. Surprising considering how well it all works on the system. In fact aside from the odd bug[http://mantis.team-mediaportal.com/view.php?id=3946] and lack of DiSEqC, TV-Server worked flawlessly.

Secondly, I was checking to see if I could replicate this in other software and found that almost everything I tried (Argus/NextPVR/ect) has the same issue. I also went back and tried MP 1.2.3 and MP 1.3.0 Beta again with older versions of the TBSdriver (1.0.1.2-3) and found no change. All this is begining to make me wonder if theres something up with the way Windows 8 handles BDA drivers. That said there were still two that seemed to work consistantly: CrazyScan[http://sourceforge.net/p/crazyscan/wiki/] and SmartDVB[www.smartdvb.net]. As a workaround I did find this[http://rickcaylor.websitetoolbox.co...ositioner-Utility-for-Windows-6161417?trail=] intriguing, but even if TSReader could work and be invoked on channel change I'm not sure if the device will listen to one process while tuning for another.

Thirdly, I've noticed that "General Forums" is not the root of this particular forum, so *ahem* first of all sorry for that and if some kindly passing mod would ether delete this thread or move it to one of the "MediaPortal 1>Support" sections that would greatly be appreciated...and *cough*..sorry..again..
