hi!
I just bought the technisat cablestar combo HD CI.
I'm primarily using it for dvb-t in denmark.
What can I say .. it just works so far.
Far better than technotrend CI 3650 card that I'm returning.
the technotrend could fry eggs, even when idle.. meaning when the PC has been powered off.
putting a hand on the technotrend chassis and it feels very warm.
the technisat on the other hand feels cool, or only mildly lukewarm.
I'm using a SMIT manufactured boxer viaccess CA module with a danish boxer subscription card (300 dkr).
So any danes looking for a working card to go along with the CI boxer channels (not CI+), then this tuner is just what the doctor ordered. The tuner is even semi-cheap all considered. I paid 700 dkr I think it was.
I tried with the neotion boxer cam.. it didn't work at all. I do not recommend this CAM obviously.
How I sometimes miss the good old VHS days .. nothing to worry about in terms of CAM - tuner compatibility.
I did a 30min burn in channel-card test using "test channels" in setupTV.
avg tuning time is 1440 msec.
no errors.
I used the the generic network provider with pause mode enabled (best of both worlds).
It even behaves good when doing a full hibernate-resume cycle.
now only time will tell if the card is any good.
I did play around with the drivers.
It seems I was only able to get the drivers supplied with the CD working.
downloading the latest drivers off the web resulted in device could not start (error code: 10) in device manager.
I did make a combo of the CD supplied drivers (ver 1.0.5.502 15-06-2009) working with technisat latest drivers (ver 1.0.5.702 20-07-2009)
attached to this post.
I could not hack the terratec H7 drivers to work with the card as discussed here.

but as I said.. the card seems to work ok as it is.
