    TechniSat Skystar HD2 w/ Terratec Cinergy CI-Module?

will that work as the cards are basically built equally? My Cinergy S2 broke last weekend after some years of heavy usage, but the Cinergy S2 is nowhere available in Austria right now - I'd have to wait approx. 2 weeks to get one and 90€ for a new card incl. CI slot is a bit too expensive for my taste.

I think I remember that someone stated that the Terratec Cinergy CI-Module works flawlessly with the HD2 (which would be available for 43€ - ready to get picked up at a local store) - but could someone confirm this?

    Best regards,
    Bernhard

    Hmm, interesting question...

Theoretically I think it should work because from what I can see there is no circuitry (apart from one capacitor for grounding/signal conditioning???) on the CI circuitboard. Having said that, I have not tried it...

    I have a similar question:
I have just purchased a Technisat Skystar HD2 from EBay Germany for MP code testing. I'm wondering if you can use Cinergy S2 PCI HD or Azurewave/Twinhan AD-SP400 drivers with it. If I could then I would be able to test our Skystar, Terratec and Twinhan support code with one tuner - a big money saver!
