Technotrend - S3200 + CI (1 Viewer)

Hi

Is there anyone here that has the MediaPortal + TVEngine 0.3 working without any major problems using the Technotrend - S-3200 tvcard ?

I can't seem to get things working to my satisfaction. Yes, the TV-Engine seems to work. I'll get "The channel is scrambled" some time but it might work without problems the next time i start it.

But:

It takes around 8-9 s to change channels. I noticed that this isn't any better with the std tv-engine though.

It happens rather often that the tvengine doesn't handle the commands from mediaportal. I'll have to go into the tvengine setup and f.e start timeshifting a channel. Then stop that , back to mediaportal and switch channel and then it might start working.

Perhaps more related to Media Portal itself:

The guide (using std EPG) doesn't behave very well. It'll lock up sometimes. Though perhaps this is related to me using the MCE std remote cause it'll start working if i'll do f.e a alt-tab on the keyboard and then go back to mediaportal.

MediaPortal doesn't seem to like going to fullscreen. It'll just hang sometimes. Or it'll take a really long time. 10+ s.

I'm using the 5.0.0.2 BETA drivers so i'll try with the older non-beta drivers to see if it has any effecct on the channelchanging time.

Hi,

did you try to test without CAM. Maybe your CAM need to much time to response.

Wich CAM did you use?

I'll try without the CAM later today.

Noticed another problem. I'm getting "channel is scrambled". I restart the tv-engine service. Still getting channel is scrambled. I go to the Tv-Engine setup , click on "start timeshift", voila, working. And after that i can stop the manual timeshift in the tv-engine and click on the same channel in the mediaportal and it'll work.

I dont seem to get any H.264 channels in the channelsearch either. Not sure what the problem is with that.

I have, since yesterday. I cant say it is 'crashfree' but i can live with it. No problem with cam (z-cas). I got problems with timeshifting when i selected a channel i do not have a subscription for. After that it sometimes says 'scrambled' for channels i do have a subscription for. So i will make sure i cannot select undecryptable channels.

Btw: I use the 'old' drivers fro Technotrend

I tried to switch channel manually in the tv-engine, that is, timeshifting one channel, change and start timeshift the other channel. And it only took 2-3 seconds before it started timeshifting the other channel.

I'm going to check the Technotrend app also, see how long it takes to switch channels there.

edit: Ok, now i remember why i didn't try with the Technotrend app. It crashes as soon as it finds a channel when it does that channel search.
