Hi
Im having trouble getting my tv card, a Terratec Cinergy C PCI DVB-C Card working.

I just started setting up my HTPC, my tv card arrived today, but when i try to select it in the MP configuration tool, i get the error:

No video capture card(s) were found. You wont be able to configure a capture card

When i installed this, vista went off by itself and got the drivers from the windows update site. I tried to download the latest BDA drivers from the manufctrers website and install them over it, but windows tells me the drivers are already up to date. It says on the wiki ( Supported TVCard DVBc/TerratecCinergyCPCI - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation ) that this card is supported.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ive tried reinstalling mediaportal but no change. Also, the card is recognised fine in the software that came with it.

By the way, ive tried searching, but all the results i got were in german :(

Thanks for that, finally got it recognised in tv engine, but cant get any channels tuned in. I also cant get them in the software that came with it, so i wont bother these forums for the minute with my problem!

No, technically the inbuilt TV engine is dead.

All work is being done on the far more functional\advanced TVServer.

Ok i got it working with tvengine, but im getting mpeg blocks scattered around the screen. Before i post up all my logs and stuff, is this common and is there a quick fix to it (eg: some option im not enabling, or a wrong codec?)
