    Hi all.

I just got invited with Windows 7 beta program. It should start in first quarter in 2009.
I don't know if there is others as well, but, should we discuss about testing Mp in
    in Windows 7 ?.

I mean that, as an early stage of Win7 we might have change to influence
on some parts of upcoming OS. Here is lot of knowledge about watching TV in Vista,
and I'm guessing that over 70% of the code remains the same in win7.

In our point of view; We want an OS that suites well for HTPC.,
but what makes great OS for HTPC then ?.

    - Reliability ?
    - Speed ?
    - Customization(disabling unneeded services... etc) ?
    - bda architecture ?

Okay I'm open for discussion on this subject, and I'll collect
suggestions on some point in future.

And then when Win7 really starts, i'll open some new discussions.

I might be a bit early on this, but i think i'll do this like any other soft project
testing, like test plans & result documents.

Stability and minimalism are the two words that comes to mind for me, but people have already tested MP on Windows 7, and it does seem to work, but you can not submit bug-reports to the MP dev team on Windows 7 (yet).

That is true. No bug reports here of "Mp on Win7". I'm thinking more of influencing on Win7,
because there is a change now through official beta program. I'm not sure
if those who tested mp on Win7 have a way to file improvement suggestions or
bug reports on Win7. As far as i know, those copies must have been versions of
win7, got from PCD, Dev Conferences, Pirated/leaked.
