The best Hybrid usb tuner for Mediaportal. (1 Viewer)

Hi i have a laptop i want to hook up to my tv and use mediaportal to do it, i need a usb hybrid tvtuner that mediaportal supports, i have had a look at the supported tv-cards page, but could not find any hybrid usb cards supported. do any of you have some good experince with usb tuners, i looked at the Pinacle usb PCTV hybrid pro but it seems onone have gotten it to work in mediaportal yep :(

    USB hybrid's are not good, the reason for this is they are software driven encoders like the hauppauge HVR-900, whereas you can get the pci equivalent HVR-1300 which is hardware encoding and works fine with MP, so i would get a dvb-t only stick if you must go usb.

    Also you know you can only use one tuner at a time on a hybrid card, whereas a dual card like the hauppauge Nova TD has access to at least 2 channels at a time.

    If you must go hybrid, go pci or pci-e.

    Ok what one is best for media portal then
    Hauppauge WinTV NOVA-TD-HD
    or Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD
