Hello

I´ve got a creative audigy 2 zs sound-card installed in my htpc..

My receiver is connected with spdif passthrough via coaxial...
Now i got a tv for the bedroom and have bought a wireless audio/video/IR-link... This link requires a stereo analog connection...

Is there some possibility to make the soundcard decode the signal AND passthrough to my logitech-receiver?

I can also connect the receiver by 3 analog cables and get my 5.1 sound from there...

Can i use a split-cable without getting any loss of quality of the signal?

Help me please, i can´t read lips =)

This thread shows how I have connected my creative card using the kx driver. Black port on the card (digital) to digital in on receiver, green port to PC speaker set, and I think I could use another port on the card for a further speaker set - not sure haven't tried.

on my receiver I have Speaker B connected to a resistance balancing switch set which then feeds audio to 2 sets of speakers with independent volume controls (again balancing the resistance) in my outside area and in my Lounge/Dining room. Kids can play PC games, while I listen to Media Portal in either or both of these other locations. Speaker A on the receiver feeds my 6.1 set in the same room as the PC. I guess I could listen in there as well but the noise of aliens being blown apart is a little distracting. Anyhow I could in theory have 3 separate sound zones all coming from one soundcard. Works well for me, but for music I am mostly interested only in stereo.

    Hope this helps

Absolutely - from what I understand the digital ouptut from the card is "always on", and is unaffected by whether you have something connected to the analogue out or not.

In my case I wanted to use the differing outputs for different sources, but if I understand your case, it is even simpler - just connect 'em up.

yes, that´s true... but as fast as it´s a AC3-stream, it passthroughs to the digital output, without any sounds at the analog output..

When you play a AC3 soundtrack, the analog outputs is dead silent...
