This OrigenAE Case was discussed here a few times. And there is always the "con" with its maximum display resolution of 1024x768. What makes it "unclonable" with a full-HD-Display.

That seems to be not true any more :)

I Just want to share my experience with this case and display.
I bought mine about 2 weeks ago in August 2007. Yesterday I installed a new nvidia driver (Forceware 162.18 for my Geforce 6200) and played a bit with its control-panel. There is a button with some kind of Wizzad for the monitor configuration. (Not the wizzard for TV-configuration!) After I finished this wizzard, I was astonished to see, that from now on, I can select (and use!!!) resolutions like 1900 x 1200 and even a bigger resolution with something like 2048 x 15xx for the 7"-display!!! Ok, text is very small in this resolution, but still readable with some good will ;-)

So my conclusion is, that Origen uses a new display for this case, though they still don't mention its new capabilities on their website...strange...that would be a big argument for a lot of people to buy such a case !

Right now I don't need this new found feature, as my Plasma only has 1024x768, but knowing that I can use larger resolutions with this display gives me some comfort when I look at future "TV purchasing" ;-)

Perhaps someone else can confirm my claim here ?

Update

Origen uses a new display in their new case s16t http://www.origenae.com/en/htpc_s16t.htm.

This new display is compatible with full-HD resolutions.
It seems, that they also use it in the current x15e-Case-Production and I was lucky to get one of those. Though I still dont know why I had to run this nvidia-wizzard, to get access to the resolution-modes above 1024x768 ?!?
