You usually hit the icon on your taskbar on click  on the icon on you start panel............you are then taken through screens which say waiting for start up of tv service, initialising, loading plugins, etc. then you are in media portal.  Clicking the watchdog icon now takes you through this process so after clicking it you see screens which say waiting for start up of tv service, initialising, loading plugins and then you can select movies. tv guide etc</p></blockquote><p></p>
