There's many different programs that can scan web pages and save the TV listings structured in a xml file. I'll be using WebEPG, that comes with MP, to grab information from Dagenstv.com. The configuration file for Dagenstv that comes with MP <em>(C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\WebEPG\grabbers\SE\www_dagenstv_com.xml)</em> is currently outdated so the first step is to update this file.</p><p></p><p>1. Get an updated www_dagenstv_com.xml from <a href="https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/webepg-136/updated-grabber-dagenstv-com-sweden-32572/index8.html#post378284" target="_blank">here</a> and replace the old file in the MP directory.</p><p></p><p>Next step is to configure WebEPG to grab your channels using Dagenstv. This can be done by linking every TV Server channel in your subscription to a "web channel" of Dagenstv using <em>C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\WebEPG-conf.exe</em>. Instead of every Com Hem user having to do this manually I've attached some WebEPG configuration files for the most common channel packages (Small, Medium, Large, Canal+ and TV1000).</p><p></p><p>2. Download the attached zip file and copy the WebEPG.xml of your choice to <em><user files>\WebEPG\WebEPG.xml</em> (create the WebEPG directory if it doesn't exist). You can find the <user files> directory by opening Windows start menu -> Team MediaPortal -> MediaPortal -> User Files. Full path is <em>C:\<strong>ProgramData</strong>\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\WebEPG\WebEPG.xml</em> for Vista and <em>C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\WebEPG\WebEPG.xml</em> for XP.</p><p></p><p>Now start <em>C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\WebEPG-conf.exe</em> to see that it can find the configuration file. If everything is right it will look something like the attached picture.</p><p></p><p>WebEPG also needs a <em>xmltv.dtd</em> file in the same folder as the XMLTV file.</p><p></p><p>3. Copy <em>C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv\xmltv.dtd</em> to the <em><user files>\xmltv</em> folder. This is where WebEPG will put the XMLTV file.</p><p></p><p><em>C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\WebEPG.exe</em> will do the actual grabbing and creates the XMLTV file. It doesn't have any user interface so you won't see it running other than WebEPG.exe in Task Manager and a TVguide-writing.xml file in the <em><user files>\xmltv</em> folder.</p><p></p><p>4. Launch <em>C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\WebEPG.exe</em> and wait until <em><user files>\xmltv\TVguide-writing.xml</em> is renamed to <em>TVguide.xml</em>.</p><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-size: 12px">Import the XMLTV file to the TV Server database</span></p><p>The TV Server comes with a XMLTV plugin which imports a XMLTV file.</p><p></p><p>1. Activate the XmlTv plugin in TV-Server Configuration -> Plugins.</p><p></p><p>2. In TV-Server Configuration -> Plugins -> XmlTv browse for the <em><user files>\xmltv</em> folder where <em>TVguide.xml</em> is stored.</p><p></p><p>3. Make sure that <strong>Import new tvguide.xml</strong> and <strong>Delete old programs before import</strong> is checked and <strong>Import files in new tvguide.lst</strong> is unchecked.</p><p></p><p>WebEPG doesn't know what timezone to use for the web page from where it's grabbing so it assumes GMT. Since Sweden is GMT+1 we need to <strong>Apply timezone compensation</strong>.</p><p></p><p>4. Set timezone compensation to <strong>1h</strong> (2h for daylight savings time).</p><p></p><p>Check the second attached screen shot to verify settings.</p><p></p><p>5. Open the Mappings tab, select your group if available and click Load/Refresh. All channels should be green since the WebEPG.xml is set to output channel names based on Com Hem's naming standard. Attached picture #3.</p><p></p><p>6. Don't forget to press <strong>Save</strong>!</p><p></p><p>7. Now go back to the Settings tab and click Import. You should get the Import status report filled out.</p><p></p><p>The EPG should now be filling up inside MediaPortal -> My TV.
