Well I have seen this happen before, but, I have always deleted the entire database and then re-added.

I was hoping there was another way.

Here is the example & how to reproduce this... Have a movie called. Rambo.mkv

Do a scan, allow it to select "First Blood" ... However, then you realise it is actually Rambo 2008 ... In the movie manager, there is no way to change it to the correct movie. The refresh movie info doesn't actually allow you to change it to the correct movie :(

Does this make sense ? There needs to be a way to put the movie out of the manager and back into the scanner and/or to change the movie from the Movie Manager.

On the movie manager tab, click the Icon that looks like an arrow pointing straight down ("Reassign Files to A New Movie"). This will send the movie back to the Importer tab.

It would be nice to be able to do this from within the GUI of Media portal and not have to exit the gui, go into configuration, fixt it, close the config, start Media Portal again...

is this possible?? this is big for the WAF.

    thanks

mlburgoon: It's certainly possible, and is in fact already partly on the road-map. Issue 83 will allow for close match resolution from within the GUI. Once this functionality is implemented, it will be somewhat trivial to send a movie back to the importer from the GUI.

Currently to work around this, I name my files as close to the IMDB title as possible, followed by the year in parenthesis. YMMV but hopefully this should get you by on the WAF until issue 83 is added :D

    use nfo....

What i do is i have eatch movie in their own subfolder. That contains the following files

    Ex:

movie.iso // Or whatever files you may have to represent your movie.
    imdb.nfo

Where imdb.nfo is a file i have created containing a link to imdb. That way moving pictures will ALWAYS make the right match no mater what.... This is something i have been very happy with because i have several media-client and i dont what to manual administrate them all.
