The point of a GUI is IMO it would be faster and have more options. Yes accessing a web page via the network would be a much simpler task, but keeping the TV listings on you device while you are at work, and even being able to schedule a recording that your CE device would pass on to your HTPC when you get home are all things the web interface would not do.

This thread is not really about a web frount end, it is about a WinCE front end.

OK, I think I missunderstood this a little ;-) But nevertheless you could use some php code of the core functions like getting stuff out of the database or something like this...

Sorry, was a little busy the last days... Maybe this evening I'll finish reconfiguring 0.1. Once this is completed I'll take some screenshots and update the old thread in the plugins section in the forums...
