Hello All!

Perhaps this is a previously discussed issue, but I have searched and cannot seem to find a topic discussing exactly this 'issue'...

I have about 150 movies on a mapped drive called 'Movies', mapped to M: and I view them in the filmstrip view option.

Each of these movies are either 1 or 2 files residing in a folder of its own...for example:

M:/In Her Shoes/In_Her_Shoes1.avi
M:/In Her Shoes/In_Her_Shoes2.avi

...and so on

Anyways, if I use the info button/imdb option ..or I go to the configuration/movies/movie database/Editor/coverart/
I can do a search on the particular movie selected and then choose the coverart.
It will find several images for the cover art, which I can then view and select the best choice.
The problem is that when I pick the best option, it will only display that image when I actually select the file in MediaPortal, but when I move up a directory to M:/ and look at all the folders, it shows the default first choice it found. These images seem to be small (10K) and in the filmstrip view mode get stretched and pixelated, looking horrible.

I thought I would be able to change the database it is searching, but IMDB is the only english choice in
the configuration/movies/movie database/settings

I have discovered that if I go into the mediaportal/thumbs folder and find the correct file and manually copy it to the 'In Her Shoes' directory renaming it to folder.jpg it corrects the problem.
Thing is, I really dont wanna have to manually do that for 150 movies.

Sticking to the example, this is the default coverart result:

http://ia.ec.imdb.com/media/imdb/01/I/35/32/39m.jpg

This is the choice I want:

http://www.impawards.com/2005/posters/in_her_shoes.jpg

(which I found using the search button in the configuration/movies/movie database/Editor/coverart)

Is there a way to correct this so that the chosen image is the one that not only displays when selecting the file(s), but also displays for the folder they are sitting in??

Thank you in advance for any help/solution you may provide!

Thank you for your response, RTV...
I wasnt sure how to classify this issue, or if I was doing something wrong...

In any case, since it is something that needs to ultimately be changed, Ill wait for it rather than manually edit 150+ folder.jpg files!

Cheers

Okay, when you change the image via that spincontrol a new folder thumb is created. In addition the high-quality version is used now.
