I have Terratec's cinergy C PCI HD CI tv tuner (dvb-c) and I can't solve problem with timer recordings. When I had instaled Mediaportal all the scheduled recordings over 30 minutes stoped after 7 min 56sec, with 15 min scheduled recording it stops after 4min 24 sec. And the simpthoms are same if I use mediaportal recording or Terratec homecinema recordings, but when I uninstall mediaportal (completly) there are no problems anymore with scheduled recordings with Terratec homecinema. So there must be a bug in Mediaportal 1.21 and 1.1.3 which I tried also (same problems). Please advise !

    Hi vizer,
You don't say anything about which MP version you tried first, but timed recording works for me with MP 1.2.1 running under Win7 Pro x32.
For any additional help, you will need to complete your profile, so we can see what OS, etc. you are using.
You will probably also need to supply log files.
    Merry Christmas,

    Hi again vizer

It would be great if you could post logs as rsbrux has described. My suspicion is not that there is a bug as plenty of people use the Cinergy C. Rather I suspect that MP and THC may be "fighting" for control over the tuner. Only one application can use the tuner at any given time. If THC is trying to grab EPG in the background or something then that would cause problems for MP recordings... and vice-versa.

I've just instaled version 1.22, deleted all schedual recordings in terratec homecinema and now schedual recordings in mediaportal don't wake pc from sleep mode. Log files are attached.

P.s. Just tried another timer recordings with homecinema and the result is 5min 55sec captiured video instead of 30 minutes! There must be some glitch between these two applications.

I didn't install any Terratec applications, just drivers. Maybe you would have more luck with MP if you uninstalled TTHC.
If you want to record with TTHC, you probably need to disable MP's TV Server.

    Hi again

According to the logs TV Server went to sleep at about 10:05am then woke from sleep to start a recording at 10:36am:

I'm not certain whether that is because TV Server thought it was invalid but it looks more like it was manually stopped.

After that it looks like the recording may have been automatically deleted:

I then see that you schedule two recordings:

TV Server suspended at 10:46am and woke again at 11:33am. I guess that is the problem you were referring to - can you confirm?

According to the logs TV Server went to sleep at about 10:05am then woke from sleep to start a recording at 10:36am:
When I saw that recording didn't start I manualy woke up pc and than it automaticaly start recording which I stopped. I have problems with TTHC recordings lenght and i will follow the RSBRUX instructions at the other hand I can't say how the recordings in mediaportal go because the mediaportal won't wake up the pc from sleep. I need to solve that first.

Sounds to me as though the system is simply not waking from sleep.

The first thing I would do is disable powerscheduler and see if it works fine when the system is not going to sleep. If that works fine, then we can investigate further.

The system woke up from sleep normally from other applications aka. TTHC and wol. Powerscheduler is disabled, never been enabled.
