Timeshift multiple channels (2 Viewers)

Hi folks,

Newcomer to Mediaportal TV-Server with a Kodi frontend.

I am getting ready to cut the cord and am wondering about one feature I like about my current cable. If I am watching channel 100, then switch to channel 101, and finally go back, I get timeshifting on both channel 100 and 101. In fact, the system seems to do this across the 3 last watched channels.

Is this capability available for TV-Server?

Hello and welcome

No, sorry - that capability is not available for TV Server. There is one time-shift buffer per client/user. That buffer is kept as long as you don't switch to a different tuner. In other words: for your example, if TV Server happened to allocate the same tuner through your channel changes (which it usually would where possible), you'd be able to skip back to the "scenes" of channel 100 and 101 that if you previously viewed. However you have no way to see the channel 100 "scenes" that you missed while you were viewing channel 101.
