Timeshift option (1 Viewer)

I only like using timeshift feature when I am watching a 2 hour movie. I don't like using all the time because I think it put wear on the HDD. Anyway I am wondering is there a way to set MP to turn it off once recordings are done? I have MP record a couple shows every morning and don't want it to continue using timeshift after it's done.

you can always run with Timeshifting off.
When you need it, you can start it by pressing the "Timeshifting" button in MyTV.
When the 2 hour movie is over, you click on "Timeshiftig" again and it's turned off.

There's a workaround if you leave myTV before recording begins!

How hard is it to manually turn Timeshifting on/off? Wait, it's not.

*PLEASE* don't add more bloatware by having an option to turn this on/off with the start/end of a movie.

If timeshift is off while viewing it isn't deactivated again after a recording kicks in...
As there are "variables" like IsViewing and IsTimeshifting it would only require a few lines of code to fix this inconsistency..

Really, this ought to be considered a bug and should be posted as such.

I realise that MP uses the timeshifting code as the recording engine, however it must be incorrect to stamp all over the "no timeshifting" option and leave it on when not required...

It makes channel changing horrendously slow for me anyway.

what exactly is the timeshifting feature? I don't think I fully understand what it does.
