Tired of "welcome to mediaportal"? (2 Viewers)

Or even of having nothing at all or whatever the skin developer wants us to read in main screen.

Wouldn't be a nice idea to add 2-3 more values in strings.xml and store user definable strings there to be shown in main screen?

I remember I had "named" my HTPC installation back in Meedio days and the name (and my personal version - since it was in constant development) was shown in main menu instead of a "welcome to mediaportal" (or similar) tag.

It must be fairly simple. (NLS trademark)

most probably all would be appropriate and work perfectly

a "version 0.0000000000001" would be realistic too
or an even more realistic "my boss sucks, please steal me"



ah or even a random tagline (hmmm smell a nice script to alter the string in the xml?)
