Transition to MP2 (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys
As a very happy user of MP i am just curious as to when development will swap over to MP2.
i see in the bugtracker there is a 1.1 release and "future release" upcoming, so i wondered when the cutof will be for MP1 and development start in MP2

The initial MP2 release was way back in 07 and the current Haiti release as been stuck at 96% for a while.

one of the things that disheartens me (and nodoubt the devs) is everyday i see posts from ppl (normally there only post) knocking MP in its current form (we know and the devs defitntley know its current weaknesses) and i believe if we moved to mp2 sooner we could give the other HTPC apps something to worry about

i see xbmc has nice skins and we seem to port them to MP, but with the new skinning engine in MP2 i believe it will be them porting our skins or trying to, with all the groovy stuff it should do.

this is no way intended to be an attack on any of MP developers and the progress of MP. i love MP, my wife does and so do the kids, i just want to see it turn into the best HTPC out there and i wondered if the devs knew and are willing to entertain me and give me a inkling of when MP2 will be developed
