Hi,

I mapped out the PowerDVD keyboard shortcuts under translator to my MCE remote.

When PowerDVD is in window mode, everything works. But when it is in full screen, it doesnt recognize anything.

Transferring the mappings to 'system wide' also work but it creates double clicking issue in MP.....

Can anyone help me with this?

Replying to my own post.

After mapping the PowerDVD keyboard shortcuts under System Wide in Translator, I was able to overcome the double click issue in MP by adding MediaPortal in Translator with empty mapping but setting it to ignore system wide mappings.

I still like to know why in PowerDVD in fullscreen doesnt recognize Translator mappings under PowerDVD....hopefully, there is a better fix out there.

Sorry for the newbie question, but I did not know you could do that. If it can be done for PowerDVD, then presumably it can be done for any applications? Can you please explain what you did in more detail?

Hi Khurram,

Sorry, I haven't been online lately.

Anyway, what exactly is your problem that you're having?

My solution to the PowerDVD problem is not the cleanest way of resolving my issue but it does the job. My solution is exactly what I mentioned. First I mapped all of the keyboard mappings for PowerDVD to the "system wide" page of Translator. Then I added a "Mediaportal" page to Translator and left that page empty except for setting it to ignore "System Wide Settings"; bare in mind that my MediaPortal key presses are handled in MP Control Plugin. That's it...just leave Translator running and PowerDVD and MediaPortal are both mapped to one remote without any conflict.

Hope this helps you out.

Hi Lolento. Thanks for your reply. I dont have a problem as such. I just wanted to control MPC through translator. So for this, I add a new application and then add keymap settings to it? How do I add keymap settings to the MPC application?

Btw, have you used the virtual remote application? I wonder if I can use the virtual remote to map keys in translator.
