I was wondering if anyone of you encountered this problem already. When trying to switch to The Travel Channel with MediaPortal v1.2 it freezes and no image will be shown. All other channels work fine. I tried this on a Windows 2008 R2 x64 box using a Terratec PCI C HD card and on a Windows 7 x64 box using a FloppyDTV card. Both gave the same problem.
Interesting to notice is that it does work when using Windows Media Center 7. Either using the WMC driver for the FloppyDTV card or using DVBLink TVSource in combination with the DVB driver of the FloppyDTV card. I noticed in the channel options that the channel, besides broadcasting subtitles in 10 languages, broadcasts 2 video streams. Only one of it seems to work in Windows Media Center 7 (the first one). Might it be that MediaPortal either can't handle channels with multiple video streams or automatically pics the last (second) stream which for some reason doesn't produce an output? I haven't found any other channel yet which according to WMC7 produces more than one videostream, so this may well explain the cause of the problem.
