HI any one tried linking 2 HTPC together so that it serves like a media video exchanger so (A) PC can view video and (B) PC can extract video from (A) and view at the same time vice versa? All these by a ethernet LAN??
Absolutely! Network drives behave like regular drives / folders so you shouldn't have any problems seamlessly integrating your media on other PCs, with MediaPortal. You can even set MP to access an FTP server in case your media is on a website or on a personal FTP server at another location.
is that with the use of the tv engine , or can you just map things with the MP software? again im assuming live tv wont work through this so im answering my own question
