MediaPortal Version: 1.1 RC2 MediaPortal Skin: XFactor 617 Windows Version: Windows 7 64bit CPU Type: AMD Athlon II 240e HDD: WD Caviar Green 750GB Memory: 2Gb PC5300 DDR2 Motherboard: MSI 785GTM-E45 (785g chipset) Video Card: Integrated Radeon HD4200 Video Card Driver: Catalyst 10.2 1. I have done this before without any problems, but this file has been unplayable. I have attached the media info (from MPC) for the file that doesn't play (South Pacific) and for 2 files that play perfectly (Moon and District 9). The key differences seem to be 1080i to 1080p, NTSC to ~24 frames and 4 reference frames to 2. The problem file also has an unusually high bitrate of 35mbps. However, the file appears to be within the Blu-ray spec so it *should* play. I have tried it in various ways, all appear to use DXVA: MediaPortal (codecs as above): MP drops more frames than it plays (See attached stats.jpg). Sound fine. MPC-HC: At first it wouldn't play, and would actully cause it to become partially unresponsive. Eventually I was able to get it play fairly well by changing render mode from 'EVR Custom' to 'EVR'. I think it still drops frames though, it doesn't seem completely smooth. Window Media Player: Video fine, no sound. GraphStudio: PERFECT! See attached GraphEdit.jpg. So GraphStudio tells me that it should be possible to play it in MediaPortal, but I have my codecs set-up in the same way and it still doesn't work. At this point I've reached the limit of my expertise. I justb didn't think I'd have this problem with files within BD spec. (MP logs are also attached, but I don't think they show anything useful). So, does anyone have any ideas what the problem/solution might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
