Trouble Playing iso Video Files (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am really new to all of this.

I installed the software listed in the Installation guide displayed in this section of the forum. I also installed Daemon Tools. I have my video iso files on a server drive in individual folders. I pointed MP to the DT installation. The database scanned and found the movies. Moving Pictures also found the movies. Had to resolve a few name conflicts, but that was not an issue.

The movie names appear in the Video opening screen. When I pick a movie to play the Daemon Tools logo comes up and remains on the screen. that is all that happens. At that point I have to end the tasks on DT and MP.

I can play movies with VLC Player. I can also mount the image of a movie with DT and play it with KMPlayer.

Any help that you could give would be greatly appreciated. This seems to be a really great program. I am just a little anxious to get it going. I did get the Music section going without any issues.

Thanks!

Harry:)

One suggestion would be to double check that the drive letters match...

Make sure these options are not checked...

I'm sorry. Where do I find this screen?

OK. I found it and unchecked the boxes. Now I get a message that says "Virtual Drive Not Ready-The virtual drive wasn't ready in time. Olease try again or cancel." If I click Try Again, it repeats the message after a brief delay.

    Might be a conflict.
Try picking a rarer drive letter like M:
Commonly E: is used by physical devices like extra HDD, card readers, USB drivers, USB memory sticks etc.

Ok. In DT I created a new IDE virtual drive with drive letter Q. In DT Device Parameters I unchecked "Auto Insert Notification". The Preferences on the Tools drop down menu are all unchecked as directed in earlier post. In MP under General/DT the box that says "Automount .iso/bin filed using DT" is checked. The drive letter is Q.

Might help to state your OS and service pack, MP version, SVNs installed if any.
    What is your PC?
What DT are you using, DT lite (free)?
The DT/iso feature has worked solidly for me. The only catch was turning off the notifications and matching the drive letters.
You do not need to have it in the system tray as MP executes the exe independently.
How about permissions, are the iso's on a network share?
