troubles with Antec fustion and harmony 880 (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

Your help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to MP and love it so far. Have a question about the Antec Fusion V2 with IR reciever and programming my harmony 880. I have been messing with the MCE replacement tool with no luck. The arrow keys and enter keys seem to be working fine but that is about it.

Does anyone have any experience with the harmony 880 that can help or no of a good program that I can remap the remote? For some reason I cant get MCE replacement to learn any of the buttons i press.

The RC harware in the Antec V2 and Antec black cases only support MCE remotes and Microsoft MediaCenter with the supplied software. The harrdware is an OEM version of the SoundGraph iMON unit.

The problem is that the Antec software translates remote button presses to keypresses... and they don't translate to the keypresses that MediaPortal uses. The hardware is also NOT MCE COMPATIBLE. The software also does not allow you to customize the remote... the iMON software is required for customizing the remote responses. BUT... The iMON software will not operate with the Antec hardware... not without patching...

The solution...
Configure your harmony remote to control a "Microsoft Media Center PC"... It will then emulate a MCE remote... then install the iMON software and patch it to work with the Antec hardware... you can then use the iMON software to to customize the remote to work with MediaPortal...

I have posted nformation on how to patch the iMON software and get the remote working on the SageTV hardware support forums... (forums.sagetv.com. search for "imonpatch"... you only need to read the info there, I will post t e patcher here once I get to my development machine.)

Don't forget to visit the "updated SoundGraph driver" forum here to get the components to get the VFD or LCD working with MediaPortal.

Thank you so much for all your help, I think i have imon working now with my antec fusion but do you know if there is a key mapping that i can import for the imon program. It would be a lot of help.
