Hello all.
I've been trying now for roughly 3 weeks to get my MediaPortal setup running fine, and so far it's been a total failure.
My main concern is that whenever I try to change channel in MyTV the GUI freezes until the channel switches and it's very slow, like 5-10 seconds to complete a switch.
I've tried RC2 and the 3 latest svn releases, same problem.
In progdvb a switch is around 3-5 seconds, and the gui remains responsive.
I am using this dvb-card Supported_TVCards/DVBc/TerratecCinergyCPCI - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation
with the latest driver available from terratec (1.1.0.601 (BDA driver)) link here TerraTec - Products - TV - DVB-C (Cable) - TerraTec
When looking in the wiki under "Known issues:" it show "TV-Server only"
So I guess there are some kind of issues with this card and MP tv-server. Is there anything I can do to help resolve this issue? I would be able to grant remote access (either VNC or Remote Desktop) to an developer if that would help.
Would adding this card using this guide: Add_TVCard_to_natively_supported_list - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation make any difference?
Also I would like to fill out more info in the wiki, for example what kind of chipset the card uses as it's missing here:
Supported_TVCards/DVBc - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation
How would I do that?
Alot of questions, but I hope there is someone out there who can help or at least point me the right direction.
in advance.
OS:
I am using Vista Ultimate SP1 64bit on a GIGABYTE - Product - Motherboard - Overview - GA-MA78GM-S2H (rev.1.0) and a ATHLON 64 X2 6000+ with the 2008.9 ATI driver.
