Trying to add support for TVcard (A815) (1 Viewer)

Trying to add support for TVcard DVB-T USB : Avermedia USB Volar A815.

I try without success to add a new TV card.

I followed the instructions but I do not understand where to find the “BDA capture” on my computer.
My task is harder because my OS is in French so the names are translated :-(
I tried since months with many versions of media portal (from v0.2.2.0 to 1.0 RC1 refresh), and successive driver versions of my device.

Write me by personal message :
- to get the file containing the screen captures of my process.
- to get VNC access to my computer.

I wrote to AverMedia support in hope they had a tip. Here is their (negative) reply :


The A815 product has not been tested and validated with non MediaPortal software. Nevertheless, it should still be compatible with all cards structure BDA.

As we do not use external software to Avermedia, we do not know the spécifictés. That said, for that software is compatible with our cards BDA, there are certain rules to follow:

1. The software should match the structure directhow
2. The software should match the structure BDA
3. The software must be able to recognize the pilots of the A815 card.

I suggest trying TvServer.
If it the card has a BDA driver it should work fine

You were right. TvServer recognize it and can use it.

I now need to understand how use get tv from MediaPortal itself ;-) (I will retry with v1.0 RC2).
