Tutorial how to configure MediaPortal + WinLirc (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I have an IR adapter and winlirc, I learned the remote in WinLirc but still not able to make it work with media portal.

I'm using MediaPortal_0.2.3_RC1 , in MediaPortal Setup I activated the winlirc plugin but still not working.

Are there any other steps ?

yes, you have to download winlirc plugin. But i've problem that i cannot map some actions (EPG for example)

10x .. but how do you map those actions .. can you write a small toutorial .. for a single action .. let's say play .. or NEXT.. .

I bought a new remote control, Sony universal with learning function, I want to learn it the MCE remote codes and than hopefully I can use it with build iun suport for MCE. But I'm not sure this will work, do I need some special IR receiver n the computrer to use the MCE remote control suport in MP ?

i'm not expert in this but what i have is IR receiver connected to serial port COM1 using winlirc as gateway between this receiver and winlirc plugin for media portal (you have to donwload it, configuration is in plugins->process)
