Tv and ffdshow (1 Viewer)

Yesterday,
I reinstalled mp and svn (version 1/6/2007).
In my htpc I installed ffdshow too and I use it with media player classic (together they are great !!).
I configured the tv section of mp to use dscaler codec and I added, as post processing filter, ffdshow raw filter.
When I double clicked on it, mp tells me that there is no configuration page for ffdshow:???? Very starnge because I use it succesfully with mpc.
When I try to see the tv, ffdshow is not called....
How can I use ffdshow in the tv section?
PS: I use vista enterprise 32 bit.

Hello spinmar,

please install the latest FFdshow codec. Select FFdshow as Audio- and Videocodec in your MediaPortal Configuration afterwards. Ensure to select FFdshow as CODEC, you don't need to add a postprocessing filter.

but in this way the script, for example, of avsynth are executed or not?
I configured video ffdshow ad shown in avs forum (intermediate Limitedsharpenfaster configuration): setting the codec as you described, is this configuration used?

This forum is very important about ffdshow configuration: i used FFdshow intermediate configuration (LimitedSharpenFaster).
Well when I play a dvd or an avi, media player classic is configured to use fffshow as post processing and the result is very very good.
So my idea was to use my fddshow configuration to enhance tv video image.

OK I understand what you are trying do do. I thought you just want to get FFdshow to work. I assume that you try to use FFdshow as your TV codec and then add a post processing filter because I don't know if it is possible to use Dscaler to decode the picture and then use FFdshow or another codec to post process the picture. At least it would not be an elegant solution. Try to use "ffdshow raw video filter" as filter then or if you already tried without success take the "ffdshow video decoder".

There, however, is a configuration possible if you use FFdshow as TV codec. At least it is in my case.
