Having the same problem here, tried suggested as above, but did not help. Different BDA drivers, tried wmp10+DVB patches, 5 CVS's from Feb till now. All without success. In my case both happen, the obvious because of a -real- low signal, signal strenght =90-100 but signal quality is below 60 then. So just a reception problem I would think. But the second with VMR9 rendering dropping, happends as well. This only happends when changing channels. Disabling EPG grab, tends to get it less, but its still there. It looks like Media Portal wants to do too much in minimal of time. Seeing the logs it does the following in 1 or 2 seconds after changing a channel: -Switch channel -Clear teletext cache -Tune in -Get the PMT (Program Map Table) -Set audio abd video -Grab teletext -Show zap OSD (epg now/next + TV logo) and picture -Grab EPG. When I enable timeshifting, the error does not occure. It takes however till 10secs to build the picture. Its like its buffering the picture and shows it delayed for a few seconds so there is enough time to build the picture. Having this few seconds buffer also seems to help against my low reception problem. If I fast forward to get "live" TV it could stutter once in awhile because of low reception. When I show TV delayed it gives the recorder time to buffer the data before its shown, in case of a signal drop.
