Ok, taking on board what you said, I uninstalled blazetv as closing the app was according to your theory not good enough. I also uninstalled presto pvr and some dtv-reader app that I had no Idea was in my programs list (although it seemed to be something from presto that was installed as a separate program or something). Anyways, so now my pc has only mediaportal able to read dvb-t cards... same problem... found 1 radio channel. whats funny is that it says that it is "getting info" at the places that I expect a channel and has full signal strength and quality most of the time but does nothing with respect to saving and for the channel i WAS watching, it says that it found it but never adds the channel. btw, something I failed to mention was that on the manufacturers site (where the seller referred me to to get the vista compatible drivers) it says: AF9005 does NOT support MediaCenter in Windows XP or Windows Vista. It only works with specific DVB-T applications which can support PID filter. I thought MP DID support PID filters so I assumed that this was irrelevant... is this a major problem or is there a way to solve this problem?... Im going to try to uninstall, restart and reinstall just before I hit the hay, I'll let you kno if that solved the problem tomorrow ;) Thanks for your input.
