TV Configuration Help (1 Viewer)

I need some help with setting up my tv configuration. I have just created a HTPC with a tv tuner (Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250) and have finally got it all set up. This is how it is setup. I have a S-video card and rca/mic cables going from my directv box to the tv tuner. I finally got picture and sound to work in WINTV that comes with the tv tuner but I cannot get the TV setup correctly on the Mediaportal. All my pictures are coming in blue with no picture. Does anyone have a solution to this??? I also cannot get the remote to work properly. It seems to only work in one spot in the living room and about a 1 foot box and you have to press each button multiple times to get it to work. Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated!!

Please describe what you've done and how you're testing in more detail. This could very easily just be a codec issue, but I can't be sure.

I also cannot get the remote to work properly. It seems to only work in one spot in the living room and about a 1 foot box and you have to press each button multiple times to get it to work.

You may have interference issues. Try to move the receiver away from TVs and light sources.

I have gotten everything to work except for the remote...it seems to work fine in Windows Media Center. But in mediaportal it is having many difficulties to say the least. Any suggestions? Does it normally operate just like a normal remote? Or are these known to be a little less responsive

Glad you got the other stuff working.
As for the remote: if it works fine in WMC then it should be possible to get it working in the same way in MP. Have you tried tinkering with any of the Hauppauge remote settings in MP config? Those would be the only things I could suggest...
