Hi thanks for that - afraid though I have a couple of questions regarding your reply:

[still no EPG info yet]

- Is your 'filter for languages' set to None? Just I have mine set to All so wondering if this is holding me back.

- Is there some info on how to install that plugin? Just I've copied it's contents to the server plugins folder but it doesn't come up on the available plugins list.

I've realised I had a couple of other PVR apps on my PC (the awful one that came with the card that lists under options 'My Musics' oh dear and GBPVR) which I have no removed just in case they were interfering.

++ UPDATE ++

Ahaa! Hooray!

Restarted my machine, managed to work out how to get the server status thing to work, was a bit concerned to see it was listing my devices as all 'Idle', loaded up the TV ... and have full guide! Woo!

Thanks again everyone for all your help. I feel I shall soon be doing good deeds in return by helping friends set theirs up after they see my media center in action! ;)

    The picture shows no language selected :)

    I just put the files in a folder called TVServer Monitor inside the windows programs folder, you can then create a shortcut of the tvservermonitor.exe and put the shortcut in the start menu\programs\startup folder, so it starts with windows.
    Config is right click on the systray icon, select setup and put either pc name (in TVServer config) or 127.0.0.1, which is localhost.
