If I tune to a channel which is showing a programme at an aspect ratio of 4:3 and adverts at 16:9 (CSI on FiveUS in this instance), when the programme breaks for adverts, or the adverts finish and the programme resumes, and the aspect ratio changes from 4:3 to 16:9, or vice versa, the TV picture freezes. Changing to another channel fixes the problem, and when I return to the channel on which the problem occurred everything continues as normal until the next AR change, at which point it freezes again.

I know this was not a problem with RC1 and SVNs, but I'm afraid I can't say exactly when this started, but it's definitely happening with RC2 16049 and 16135.

I've attached the obvious log files - if there's any other info needed, please let me know.

Cheers

Neil

    Hello nfox,

this is most probably codec related. You could try another one to rule out this possibility.

D'oh! The first thing I should have checked! I'll have a play around and see what I find. Thanks for the reminder
