TV Guide AND Live TV Guide? Difference?? (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

Im a NEWBIE and have just discovered two ways to access the TV from the main menu of the Avalon skin. The default main menu has TV along with movies, pictures etc. Pressing this brings up the TV Guide which is good. BUT if I press the Green MS-Windows button on the MCE remote it takes me to a similar menu that shows Live TV along with Movies, Pictures etc.

My question is probably a stupid one :sorry: but can someone explain what the difference is between these two? ie: TV vs Live TV from the menu.

Hi again! Aren't you confusing MediaPortal with the buildin Mediacenter (MCE) from Windows7? I think you should disable Windows Mediacenter if you are continuing with MediaPortal. The green button can be changed to starting up MediaPortal instead.

Have you enabled use basichome only see picture, most skins now only require basichome to get the correct look.
