TV Guide to work in Canada, Toronto (1 Viewer)

Hi there, I have searched through the forum for a solution to this and sorry if the answer to my problem is so simple but I have been having trouble understanding how to get the tv guide to work. I can't even make sense of any little tid bits I have read here and there. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what I need to do to get the tv guide to work for Toronto, Canada?

Hi Kaptain,

It can be confusing.
There are a few different ways to do it so when you say, you
can't get it to work, I am going to just assume you have not
got any way to work yet.

Just for reference there are at least:
XMLTV, WebEPG, Schedules Direct Plugin, and some site scrapers around.
(Not sure which are set up for Canada)

I think it is really straight forward to setup
but does require a subscription with Schedules Direct ($20/year)
(It does have a 7 day free trial)

-Signup @ www.schedulesdirect.org and select your TV lineup.
-Exit MP
-Unzip the SchedulesDirectPlugin.dll file to the MediaPortal\plugins\process folder
-In MP Configuration.exe, Clear all your channels
-Run the auto-tune/scan on your cards in MP
-Enable/Configure the Schedules Direct Plugin
-Launch MP, allow 20-45 minutes for the first download/mapping
-If external channels were automatically added, you may have to assign these to a card in the MP Configuration.exe
