TV Logos (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I downloaded UK TV logos that comes with an xml file as well.
Does anyone know what I need to do with them? The .png files all have a long filename that does not match the channel name so MP doesn't pick them up (copied to the correct plugins folder). I think the xml file comes into play somehow to rename the files but I cannot find any info or instructions anyhere.

You have to rename the logos to match the channel names.

Hi regeszter, thanks for your reply. Is there any reason why they might not be named correctly in the first place? (there's a lot of .png files so will be a pain to rename from all manually)
Do you know what the extension.xml file is for?

@redfoot0 use LogoManager plugin instead https://www.team-mediaportal.com/extensions/utilities/logomanager
just edit local LogoManager.config and add <AutoUpdateConfig>false</AutoUpdateConfig> (this is required because of shifting repositories to new hosting)

Thanks, but I'm talking more basic than this
I've downloaded it but then what do I do with it? The extension manager is expecting a .mpe1 file but this is a .zip containing an xml file and an installer folder. There are no instructions included or any on the web I can find.

what browser do you use? does it automatically renames downloaded files? because from the link i gave there is only one download link pointing to mpe1 file https://www.team-mediaportal.com/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=att_download&link_id=278&cf_id=24
you can also install it via MediaPortal Extensions installer - it finds LogoManager and installs it.

About configuring - it has autoconfig option, but if your setup is somewhat uncommon, or you want to finetune it - then go to plugins - Logomanager from within MediaPortal (not the config tool !) - there are self-clearing options (i hope)
