Something happened this morning and now the TV does nort work anymore. When I try to start TV from the menu it asks me to name the IP-adress or hostname (translated from swedish). The hostname is my computername and I have not changed that.

After searching the forum I found out that it could have something to do with gentle.config. One of the gentle.config looks right, has the right username and password. The other one is changed this morning and is completly blank (but the file size is 6 kb as the other one).

In the logs attached one can see in tvserver_error.log that Login failed for user 'sa'

Any ideas on what I should do?

Please do anyone have a clue, the WAF is not so high with no television. . .

Thought I try to copy gentle.config from C:\programdata\team mediaportal\ to the other location with the blank/empty file. While backing up the blank file I manageged to loose the location (cut instead of copy). Could someone help me with the location of the other gentle.config?

As you say, the user SA couldn't login. Apart from making sure that the the gentle.config has the correct provider and credentials set, I'd also try to manually log into the database just to verify.

Could someone help me with the location of the other gentle.config?

They are located at \ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal and ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server.

Big thank you Johannes! Copied gentle.config from \ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server to \ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal, now everything works and my wife loves me again!
