TV problems (1 Viewer)

I'm having trouble using my Hauppauge WINTV401 PCI Interface TV/FM Tuner Card with Media Portal. There is a card listed, but it appears to be the wrong model. The card is listed as "Hauppauge WinTV-Go-Plus." If I try to add a card, I get the following:

No video Capture Cards(s) were found, you won't be able to configure a capture card.

If I try to edit the entry that's already there, I get:

Unable to create graph for this device!!

I was searcing for similar issues, and I found the instructions for adding the MCE encoder, and that didn't make a difference.

I did notice that the WinTV 878-based are on the "supported" list, but it turns out mine is an 881-based. Please tell me I'm not screwed.

Screw it, bought a hardware-based card, which worked flawlessly. Guess I should have checked the list of supported cards before I ordered.

Hi,
I had the same problem with my WinTV card & another chip type & trashed the card for good, no way to make it work other then in hauppauge's own program
HW cards are so much better.......

Ok..I'm new to this...can you recommend a solution to the same problem? I just installed MP and it tells me that it is "Unabel to start TV, unable to create graph" which is a ATI TV Wonder Elite.

ANY HELP?
