The default padding is set to 1-minute for both pre and post. I schedule a one time record on channel A to start at 8:30PM and end at 9:00 PM. I schedule a one time record on channel B to start at 8:30 PM and end at 9:00 PM. I then schedule a one time record on channel C to start at 9:00 PM and end at 9:30 PM.

Result(s). All 3 programs are recorded. However the channel C recording does not start till 9:01 PM. Is this by design? Is there a setting I have missed that will fix this "schedule conflict" so that channel C will start at 9:00 PM. Note: channel A and B both stopped at 9:01 PM.

What happens if channel A start at 8:30 PM, end at 9:00 PM and then channel A start at 9:00 PM and end at 9:30 PM. Will the 9:00 PM start at 9:00 PM or 9:01 PM.

MP 1.6 prerelease.
thanks.

Hello and welcome sc John :)

    Okay.

Result(s). All 3 programs are recorded. However the channel C recording does not start till 9:01 PM. Is this by design? Is there a setting I have missed that will fix this "schedule conflict" so that channel C will start at 9:00 PM. Note: channel A and B both stopped at 9:01 PM.
    It is by design.
TV Server actually does try to start recording channel C at 8:59 PM. It fails because you don't have any tuners available to start recording channel C until 9:01 PM when the channel A and B recordings finish.

What happens if channel A start at 8:30 PM, end at 9:00 PM and then channel A start at 9:00 PM and end at 9:30 PM. Will the 9:00 PM start at 9:00 PM or 9:01 PM.
If you have the 1 minute pre/post set...
The first recording starts at 8:29 PM and ends at 9:01 PM.
The second recording starts at 8:59 PM and ends at 9:31 PM.

This scenario is no problem because you have enough tuners to do both recordings in full.
