TV-Server Configuration (2 Viewers)

I am trying to install a single seat MediaPortal using the Installation Manuals and .
The download and one click install seems to have gone OK.

When I try to configure the TV-Server I get the following error message:

Connection failure:
A connection was succesfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process,
(provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process on the oher end of the pipe).

I have ensured that all requirements have been installed and searched the forums.


My network connection is LAN to a Netgear Router. I have turned off Norton and Windows Firewall.

Can anyone help ?

TV-Server/Configuration/SQL-Server - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

Check the settings as per above, do you have sql browser running, personally leave windows firewall on, as it may cause problems and be active even when switched off , good old M$

Try stopping and restarting the sql and TVService under the services management console.
