Hello There,

I have the problem that the TV server crashes several times after system bootup since I restarted my Media-PC project with MP 1.1 (RCx) . I had posted this behaviour in https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-support-51/tv-server-crashes-periodically-83121/ to see if someone else has this problem. Unfortunately, I appear to be the only one. This behaviour is also present in RC6. I cannot tell since when the problem would have existed since I have this problem since day one of my "project restart". With 1.0.2, the TV server works stable.

To reproduce the problem:

Install Windows Vista, install Media Portal, reboot PC and check TV Server service. (I have set it to automatically restart upon failure).


Attached are also the log files.

A particular situation could be that my media PC is using iSCSI to keep it "silent".

Hi,
Could you gather all logs with MediaPortal Debug-Mode & option 3 where the TV Server is installed, need to see what your system logs tells.

Maybe my issue is similar... I've been running MP all along and today I noticed a couple of scheduled recordings created their .ts and .xml files but the .ts was 0 KB in size. I thought this was odd and saw errors in the log... thinking it's about time to do a standard uninstall and RC6 fresh reinstall I did. What I'm seeing is the TV-Service is stopping/starting randomly which is causing havoc on watching any LiveTV or recording anything. I'm guessing it's SQL related but need advice.

UPDATE 1: I see the primary HDD (T:\) I record to is full :-0 I'll delete stuff and see how it responds...

I am going to set the proper logging this evening. As I am running via iSCSI, boot-up time is approx. 15 minutes, and I have 30 minutes left until I have to get on the bus.

UPDATE 2: OK... so having a full HDD causes all KINDS of havoc with the TV-Service... I saw a bunch of the same show (trying to be) recorded with 0 KB in size with incremental filenames (_1, _2, _3). I never would have thought drivespace would appear to be an issue with the TV-Service though.

It seems all is well since I deleted a good many of these 'test' files I'd been recording and made some space! I'm back on RC6, Blue-3-Wide and no StreamedMP as yet.
