OK.

I followed step by step instructions in written and video tutorials on wiki and made manual installation for SQL Server again after uninstalling all of the components coming with MP via RevoUninstaller.
And reinstalled MP stable again:

Everything seems normal:?

Does your card show up fine in Windows Device manager? BDA drivers looking fine there?

I don't know what's wrong, but in TVServer config your PC should appear as server no matter if a tv card is installed. But there is nothing in the list, so your server is not recognized. Post the logs of TVServer and have a look in MPTV database. Open the table TVserver. There have to be an dataset for your PC with name and IP address. The should be connected to LAN or you need the loopback workaround.

Totally agreed; there must have been something there; that is the question.

I am giving up MP installation after hours.

Removed all the leftover files and folders under

    Users > rica > App.Data > Local
    > Microsoft
    > VirtualStore
    > Temp
    and
    Users > rica > App.Data > Roaming
    > Microsoft

and reinstall with in-built SQLServer and used default password.

    Nothing has changed

    Code:
Error: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:31456

Did you use localhost/127.0.0.1 during the SQL config in SetupTV ?
Please change it to the real ipv4 of the machine or the the computer name.

To change config you have to start SetupTv with param -c

Please attach logs to the post and don't link them to an external site, would be quicker and easier to help you.

Please tell me how to configure SetupTV with parameter -c?
I can not configure it on TV Server Configuration.
Was that the supposed application to configure TVServer?

    :sorry:

    :sorry:

On the desktop you have an icon called "TV-Server configuration" as the name invoke is the application to configure Tv-Server. Under the wood it's called "SetupTv.exe".

You have to go in a command prompt ( cmd.exe ), navigate/move to "%ProgramFiles%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server" directory and once there type "SetupTv -c"

This way you are asked again DB Details: is it showing 127.0.0.1 or localhost as host ? If so please use the real ip of the machine or the windows computer name

Attach again fresh logs if it's still not working for you.
