tv-server does not detect tv-server (1 Viewer)

Hello all

I've played arround with the tv-server installation for som time now and am still unable to get working.

When i start the configuration utility for the first time and answer yes to starting the tv-service, i get a message saying "Service not started". Yet when i go into services i can see it running. I've tried telnetting to 31456 and got an answer and the database is created just fine (on my local sql express).

Yet i do not see any servers in the configuration utility and i can see that the server table in te database is left empty.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong?

I am on Vista x64 with a tt c-1500 tv card and as stated use sql express for the database.

I have this problem too, after a reboot. Simply go to Services of MS and hit restart service. This does the trick on my system.

Can you give the exact error message you get? Maybe you can also look in the eventviewer why the service won't start up.

But the service is running, but a message is "The service is not running. Start it now ?" appear if i launch TV-Server config .
If i choose "yes", this message appear "TVservice not started".
