TV Server installation (1 Viewer)

am i the only one who is totally lost on installing tv server?? i cannot get either MYSQL or SQL Server 2005 to work as it wont let me connect when first configuring.

heres what ive done so far (see <------- for my full system details)

• performed 1 click installation in MP RC4
• Chosen to use MP for watching TV & HD content
• Chosen single seat setup

when i try to setup tv in TV Server configuration however, i keep getting connection fail error messages...

please help as im totally stuck but want to upgrade to RC4

just test the default UserID is "sa" and Password is "MediaPortal".

Hi, yeah im using those user ID and password. ive got it working now, but im now having a problem with MP RC4 not opening when i try and load it up (even though its shown as running in task manager). is this a common RC4 issue?
