hi mm,
according to what I see during scanning is, that in fact channels on Astra are found (a couple of dozens) but no German channels. According from what I understand from the system, I don't have a switch but a twin LNB, with two cables into the twin DVB-S card. Please note, that the set up works perfectly with my stand alone sat receiver.

Unfortunately I could not find more specs for the LNB I have. Hope that helps:

Humax LNB 226 - Low-noise block converter - twin LNB

Device Type: Low-noise block converter

    Hi again SpeedKing

I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure that LNB has a built in DiSEqC switch, else how can the receiver select from both satellites. Please try to set up scanning like the attached screenshot. If that doesn't work, then use DiSEqC "simple A" for Astra and "simple B" for Hotbird.

    Hi mm,
thanks for the latest hint, playing around with the DiSEqC parameters did the trick, the German channels came with the "Simple B" profile. See below set up in the attachment, that I used. I have no idea what I did and what it means but the result counts. I will do the same with the other LNB for Hotbird and hope that will be successful as well.

Thanks again for your support. Regards SpeedKing
