I've been using MP for around a year now and I only ran into my first major issue today. So big thumbs up to MP for that!!!

Unfortunately though, when I go to TV it says there's no card available. So I tried to go into TV Server configuration but it won't even let me do that. It comes up with a message which I can't decipher.

I haven't added any pieces of hardware, changed any configurations, or even had any blackouts/known issues around my area that could affect the signal. When I go into device manager, it says the card is working fine. Note that everything else in MP seems to be working great - Moving pictures, MP TV Series and all other plugins are silky smooth.

Things I've tried:

Re-seating the TV tuner (Hauppage HVR-2200)
Re-installing, updating and rolling back drivers
Un-installed all MP plugins and ran the basic default skin
System Restore (Win7)
Checked antenna cable (works fine directly to the TV)

Re-installing MP is a last resort as I spent many hours getting it exactly how I want and having to re-scan the library for media is something I really want to avoid at all costs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I had the same error yesterday. Try to deinstall mysql and the entire mepo and reinstall it. Important is to deinstall mysql !!!! Maybe only a deinstallation of mysql is sufficient. After the complete deinstallation of mepo I also deleted the following folders

c:\program files\team mediaportal
c:\program data\team mediaportal (this folder is hidden !!!)

then i used the program "ccleaner" serveral times to clean the registry.

I hope this will work for you

    I would not recommend that.

This problem has nothing to do with MediaPortal, MediaPortal plugins or your tuner. It is related to TV Server. Please post your TV Server log files by using the watchdog/debug tool with option 3 (to export all existing log files):

this error appeared after an update from 1.5 to 1.6. I deinstalled 1.6 and installed 1.5, in the installation process the tv-server installation has been interruped, the rest has been installed successfully. A double click on tv-server config item resulted in the same error mentioned above. So i decided to deinstall SQL and mepo 1.5. After a reinstall of 1.6 -including a new installation of mysql within the mepo installation- the tv server is fully functional.
