tv server question system specs. (1 Viewer)

I was wondering if you guys will think this will work or do I need a better system. I was going to use hdhomerun tuner on my cable tv signal but I found out most of the channels are still in analog. So I sent it back and order a WinTV-HVR-2250 card

I have a old dell workstation 370 p4 2.8 with 4 gb ram I was planning on putting the tuner in it trying to save some bucks. I can load windows 7 on it or if you think xp will work better I can use it.

This system will only be used as the tv server for streaming to the other MP systems. I am not sure how MP tv server works does it stream to the clients or does it record to a directory then the client pickups up from there. I have 4 MP systems on the tv most of the pull from recorded content shows and movies. The tuner is for shows that are live or I can not find from some other source.
I will have the tv server store the shows back to my media server and I will use schedules direct.

If its live tv, then its streaming from the timeshift buffer, if its recorded, then its streaming from recorded file.

The Dell should work fine as long as a vacant pci-e slot is available, take it has a large enough hdd\s to cope, as about 1gb =45mins SD recording time.

Streaming to multiple clients at once (different shows) could be a issue if only 100mb lan speed, so may need upgrade to a 1gb lan card.

I have a vacant pci-e slot and I am 1gb network to everything. Can I redirect the recording and buffering to my Media Server I have 2 tb drive in it this dell only has 160 gb disk in it.
