TV-server stops tv-service when usign tv card (1 Viewer)

My configuration:
pinnacle 310i hybrid
windows Vista Basic
4Gb 250Gb phenom x4 2,2Ghz proc
I have downloaded the latest mediaportal.

My problem:
In the TV-server:
After scanning for channels I found about 20 channels. If i go to the channels and try to preview the tv-service hangs or stops. First time it gives an error: "unknown error" and the seccond time it gives an error: "TV-service not running".

plz help.. :-(

I know i have to give some log file but the collector gives a exception so I can't..

May be the problem as lots of multimedia capabilities where removed in this windows edition.

Make sure you have latest directx\wmp11\.net installed with all updates, these are not all on windows normal update.

Perhaps I do not know the needs of mediaportal..
The stange thing is that with the pinnacle software the TV card works very good..

In the logs I found this item:
failed to add audio compressor. you must install a supported audio encoder!

I don't get this. Where can I tell to the TV-server which codec to use? I have installed an AC3 codec and pinnacle installed some to..
